James BAKER, DMD
Before becoming an endodontist, Dr. James Baker received a Bacherlor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Next, he earned his DMD with Honors from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Baker completed two dental residencies for advanced training. First, he completed a one year General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. Then, Dr. Baker completed his specialty training in endodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. These additional years of training allowed Dr. Baker to focus exclusively on the diagnosis and management of tooth related pain.
After completing training as an endodontist, Dr. Baker moved with his family to the Green Mountains of Vermont to serve patients of the Champlain Valley.
Dr. Baker enjoys practicing as an endodontist because it allows him to help relieve patients’ pain and discomfort from problems with their teeth.
He has published multiple research articles in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Inside Dentistry, and lectured on a variety of topics related to endodontics to dental students.
Dr. Baker is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Vermont State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Baker enjoys hiking with his wife, skiing, and reading with his three young children.
